Out Of Sight, But Never Out Of Mind
The age old moto-motto of "look good, feel good, ride good" holds true for a majority of motorcyclists, and AXIAL channeled that whole tagline when designing their AX1. Nobody wants a thick, rigid back protector protruding through their jacket - including the riders behind AXIAL.
The ergonomic design of the AX1 coupled with flexible AVP foam technology keep you from looking like Quasimodo all while bearing a CE Level 1 rating to keep you safer out on the road - helping you focus more on the twisties ahead and less about your gear choices or lack thereof.
Although comfortable and flexible in your jacket, the AVP foam is designed to rigidify (that's a real word, we checked) under load, dissipating some of that dangerous energy before it reaches your body.
Feel The Breeze
With dozens of ventilation holes perforating the AX1, heat and moisture don't stand a chance. While slightly less ventilated than the deeply channeled AX2 back protector, the AX1's design keeps the bulk to a minimum while still offering sufficient circulation to keep the heat to at bay.
AXIAL didn't just stop at drilling some holes through the AX1 either. The vertical channels on the interior and exterior sides are engineered to allow those vent holes to circulate air without your base layer or jacket plugging them up, while the horizontal channels aid in flexibility. Engineering isn't always glamorous, but a safe summer ride without a sweaty back is something we can get behind.
